{H} Happenings: Happy 1/2 Birthday Alli Jane!

Alli is 18 months old...only 6 months until my baby is 2!

At 18 months, Alli...

Loves her family. She screeches "Daddy" when Marty walks through the door and must drop everything to hold her! She loves it when Ella invites her to sit with her or play with her. The other night, she wasn't sleeping very well, but rather than come to our room for comfort, she went into Cole's room to find him. Oh, she kind of likes me too ;)

Loves milk, cheese, hot dogs, corn, bread and pasta. She will also eat applesauce and yogurt, but she insist on eating her all by herself, which results in a huge mess, (she throws it on the floor and the wall). Here's what happened when I gave her a peanut butter sandwich and walked away for a minute...

Every now and again, she does it right, but it's rare...

She usually likes what she tries, but getting her to try anything new is nearly impossible. She also insist on using a real fork/spoon with whatever she is eating.

Loves animals. When she sees the cats or Tabby, she says "oooohhh" and runs over to them. She hugs them and squishes them a little so the love isn't really too mutual ;)

Added a few new words to her vocabulary this week "socks, hot, ball, bawk-bawk (like a chicken!)" Now if we could only get her to keep the other words that she has learned, rather than replace them.

Wants to be where ever her brother and sister are and melts down if they shut the door.

Wakes up at about 6:30 and comes to snuggle with me until I get up. Then naps from 11 or 12 for 3 or 4 hours. It's tough on Ella's preschool days, I have to wake her up everytime. Then goes to bed at 8:00. She love to sleep!

Climbs on everything! Her favorite spot is sitting in the bathroom sink, and it's my fault. I usually sit her there and let her play with her toothbrush while I do her hair. Oops...now she sits there and empties the toothpaste or pulls out all of the dental floss. She has also learned how to climb onto my bathroom counter and onto the kids little table in the kitchen to turn the light on and off. It's Ella all over again! ;)

Is so quiet and calm when Cole and Ella aren't around, but when they are, she lights up and gets a little crazy!

Laughs/screams whenever we start to laugh or get alittle bit excited, especially at dinner. It's a very loud time in this house!

LoVeS to dance! She will turn the TV on and say "dance" , she just can't keep still when she hears a beat!

Loves to run to the car and climb in all by herself. If only she would stop at her seat, she goes straight to the back and sits in Ella's seat and laughs- she's starting to enjoy to irritate her sister!

Thinks everything is a purse, from shirts to panties, they go right on her arm and she runs to the door and says "Let's go" (I feel like I already blogged that, my apologies if so...)
